    Description

    Signed "Use Gold Coin Tobacco" on the inside lip of the locket.  The locket is oval w/ a hinge on the side it has a raised design framing an applied silver tone repousse flowers w/ three seed pearls across the center, the back of the locket is plain.  The locket has the original glass windows in it w/ frames.  The bale is a
    shield
    shape w/ raised details.  The locket is on a
    decorative
    book chain style chain w/ a large spring clasp that is secure, the locket also opens & closes securely.  A really neat Victorian mourning locket that  looks to be an advertising piece for Gold Coin Tobacco.

    The chain is 20" around w/ the locket measuring 1 4/10" tall, not including the bale, by 1" wide.
    The necklace is in very good vintage condition, it is just beautiful.  The back of the locket hastwo "nibble" dents, the finish is uniform a few spots of patina.  Overall it has been cared for and is in very good vintage condition considering the age.
