This amazing semiconductor device will convert heat into electricity.  Simply create a temperature differential across the two faces of the device. Apply heat to one side while cooling the other side with a heat sink and it will generate electricity. It can also be used as a heat pump to provide cooling.  Simply apply a direct current to the device and it will act as a heat pump moving heat from one face to the other. One side will become cold as heat is moved to the other side and is dissipated by the use of a heat sink.
