BAUER SISTERS CANDY DELICATESSEN LUNA PARK CONEY ISLAND BROOKLYN NEW YORK CITY This is one of the nicest Coney Island images that I have come across. It is a black and white printed image that pictures two ladies behind what appears to be a Lunch Counter. I am assuming they are The Bauer Sisters. They sell what first appears to be various different meats, however they were all made of pure candy. Hanging above and in front of them are the different candies they sold. All shapes and sizes. Above them hang a sign which reads Bauer Sisters Candy Delicatessen And Dutch Lunch Café From Luna Park , Coney Island New York. Also on the front of the counter signs also reads Prompt Attention To Mail And Wholesale Orders Emporium San Francisco California Home Office 154 E. Courtland Street Olney
Philadelphia Pa. Mail Your Friends A Dutch Lunch 50 Cents Prepaid. Above the ladies are two very large hanging lights along with two ceiling fans. This hard to get image is in overall nice crisp condition with out any bends rips or tears with just a 1/8” corner margin crease in the lower right corner along with some overall surface soiling. The reverse side is postally unused and has a divided back. Printed on
the reverse side it lists some of the meats that are available in a pure candy form. A rare and unusual image. A great addition to any Coney Island , Luna Park , Candy , Amusement Park , Lunch Counter , Retail Business , Brooklyn or New York City collection.
